Minimizing errors in the alignment of the CAD model to the Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)
Miko, Jan ; Marek, Tomáš (referee) ; Šrámek, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the issue of alignment of measured data to nominal data in the field of metrology - measurement and evaluation of longitudinal dimensions, angles and tolerances of position and shape. The beginning of the work deals with the division of individual types of coordinate measuring machines and various data scanning technologies. The next section describes the measurement process, and especially in what ways the mea-surement can be performed. In the analysis of the use of methods for the alignment of nomi-nal data on a CAD model when measuring on a CMM, the individual methods of alignment are classified and described. The most common defects caused by alignment to a CAD mo-del are covered in the entire chapter, which describes what causes individual defects in most cases. The main part of the bachelor thesis is the study of measurements. In this study, the evaluation of outputs that were obtained after measuring and balancing the measured data on the CAD model of the reference part is processed. The alignment is performed by four diffe-rent methods. Subsequently, the individual methods were compared and the errors that occurred during the alignment were analyzed. In the last part of the work, a statistical evalu-ation of the measurement and determination of the measurement uncertainty is performed on the basis of the measured deviations of the positions of the assessed geometric elements, which occurred on the reference part. At the end of the thesis, the individual outputs that were obtained during the elaboration of the individual goals of the bachelor's thesis and the recommended methods of alignment for a specific application are evaluated.
